Your HSBC debit card can work overseas, but you may need to activate the international usage option on your card before you travel. You can do this by sending a secure message through HSBC Personal Internet Banking or submitting a form at the nearest HSBC India branch You can use your HSBC debit card at HSBC Group ATMs and Visa merchant outlets worldwide, subject to the limits and fees applicable for your type of account. You can also manage your local and international payment limits through the HSBC India Mobile App. If you have an HSBC Global Money Account, you can order a debit card that has no HSBC fees for using it to make payments outside the UK. However, other non-HSBC fees may apply. For other HSBC accounts, there is a fee of 2.75% for debit cards and 2.99% for credit cards when using them outside the UK.
